Football player Kordell Stewart arrested in Alpharetta
Former Steeler, ESPN reporter held on speeding, suspended license
|
May 12, 2011 ALPHARETTA – Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback and ESPN reporter Kordell Stewart was arrested May 11 in Alpharetta.
Stewart, 38, of Atlanta, came to the attention of Alpharetta traffic patrol as they allegedly spotted his car speeding, traveling 60 mph on Windward Parkway, which has a 40 mph speed limit.
Stewart said he was on the phone and wasn't paying attention to his speed. A check of Stewart's driver's license showed he had a warrant out for his arrest, after failing to appear for court in Conyers. His license was suspended since July of 2010.
Stewart was arrested for speeding and driving on a suspended license.
