Alpharetta -- The leadership team of DreamWeavers of Georgia took on the role of busy elves recently as they organized a toy drive to help fulfill the Christmas wishes of more than 70 area children in foster care.
Lynda Urrea, a foster parent with Giving Children A Chance (GCAC) and Ashley Muntan, a DreamWeavers volunteer, said they couldn't believe the overwhelming response from the community.
"We hope to touch the lives of as many foster children as we can," said Urrea.
DreamWeavers of Georgia is an Alpharetta-based organization dedicated to raising funds for the benefit of foster children. The nonprofit group said it was grateful to Joe Powell and Associates, which hosted the toy collection center at its office warehouse, and for the numerous partnerships that helped with the toy drive, including Merrill Lynch, Marriott Hotels, St. James United Methodist Church and individual families throughout the area.
