Wells Fargo presents checks to North Fulton charities

December 04, 2010 Roswell -- Wells Fargo handed out $1,000 grants to eight Roswell and four Alpharetta nonprofit organizations as part of its "Days of Giving" program in metro Atlanta last month. Wells Fargo recently expanded its presence in the area after taking over Wachovia Bank branches in Atlanta.
Among the Roswell organizations the bank recognized are: The Drake House, Foster Care Support Foundation, North Fulton Child Development Association, Jacob's Ladder Neurodevelopmental Learning Center, Chattahoochee Nature Center, North Fulton Community Charities, Star House Foundation and Vision Atlanta.
Alpharetta Police Athletic League, Keystone Center for Children with Autism, the Kimberly Kim Foundation and Performing Arts North, Inc. were the four groups from Alpharetta that received the grants.
Donations to these groups and others in the metro area were distributed at five community breakfasts during the month of November, including the one in Roswell.
Wells Fargo began the program in Atlanta last year and expanded it by a third in 2010.
The Days of Giving program came about as a result of the combination of Wells Fargo and Wachovia, said Sean Mabey, community bank president for the north Atlanta metro area. The contributions help mark the changeover of Wachovia financial centers to Wells Fargo bank stores across the state in late October. View images.
