Jessica Whitney Cantrell became the bride of Richard Kyle Lee on March 7, 2009 at a wedding ceremony held in the glass top atrium at the Chateau Elan Resort in Braselton.
The ceremony was performed by Pastor Jim Buchman of Sixes Methodist Church of Canton.
The wedding colors were black and red. A reception followed for 200 guests in a ballroom at the Chateau Elan Resort.
After returning from a week’s honeymoon at Negril, Jamaica, the newlyweds resided briefly in North Carolina.
The new Mrs. Lee is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Van Cantrell of Canton. She is the granddaughter of Esther Haynes and Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Cantrell, all of Canton. She is a 2008 graduate from North Georgia College and State University with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lee of Alpharetta. Lee is a 2006 graduate of North Georgia College and State University commissioning into the Army.
He was a June 2008 graduate from the Army Aviation Warfighting School. Currently, Lee is a 1st Lt. assigned to the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade deployed in Afghanistan. He will return in May 2010.

The couple will reside in Fayetteville, N.C. outside of Ft. Bragg upon Richard’s return from Afghanistan.
Eventually, they plan to settle down in Georgia to live close to family and friends.
