With winter fast approaching, now is the ideal time to take a moment and think of our feathered friends. Birds rely on food for energy just as people do, but in the winter months, high-calorie sources of food become scarce for birds. They need this food to survive the winter, when on cold nights they can lose as much as ten percent of their body weight.
