WWII vets honored by historical society

Alpharetta- The Alpharetta Historical Society and Somerby of Alpharetta will celebrate "America's Greatest Generation" Thursday, Nov.19 at 7 p.m. to commemorate WWII veterans.
The event will begin with registration for military veterans and an opportunity to view exhibits, including a 20 by 9 foot hand-crafted replica of the USS Battleship NC.
Opening ceremonies honoring WWII veterans will take place at 7:30 p.m. Following the ceremonies, Denver Peardon will offer a special presentation.
Refreshments and hor' dourves will be served at 8:45 p.m. along with an opportunity to meet, greet, and thank the veterans.
