Authorities were called to the mobile home park at about 2:30 a.m. because residents complained of gunshots. When a deputy drove up, he reported seeing the suspect, 27-year-old Juan C. Noyola, standing over a dead deer and wearing all camouflage.
Noyola allegedly ran instead of talking with the deputy. A short time later deputies spoke with his girlfriend. She denied he had anything to do with the dead animal, which was lying in their front yard.
When deputies advised her she could face prosecution for killing the animal, Noyola walked out of the mobile home and was arrested for obstruction. He also faces charges from the Department of Natural Resources, said deputies.
