| | | (click for larger version) | | November 16, 2009 Emily Nicole Merritt and Dean Edward Tretinik were united in marriage on September 19, 2009 at Roswell Presbyterian Church.
Dr. Lane Alderman presided over the ceremony. Emily is the daughter of Joe and Christy Merritt of Roswell and granddaughter of Marvin and Carol Merritt of Middletown, Ohio. Dean is the son of Dan and Nancy Tretinik of Loudon, Tenn.
The bride wore a floor length dress in silk shantung by Sarah Danielle and a fingertip lace veil by Paloma Blanco. She carried a bouquet of orchids and lavender and white calla lilies. Eight attendants wore floor length antique-lavender dresses. Ashley Cooper of Charleston, S.C. was the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included Michelle Bragassa, Julie Niedzwieki, Erica Sessler, Natalie Stephenson, Juliana Sumner, Ashley Stockett and Liz Tretinik. Best men were brothers of the groom, Brian Tretinik of Boston and Adam Tretinik of Roswell. Groomsmen included Greg Garijanian, Matt Henderson, Justin Licker, Ben Love, Joey Merritt and Adam Pancoast.
The bride and groom arrived by horse and carriage to the reception at Founders Hall. Livin' Large Band provided entertainment for the reception, and Joey Merritt, brother of the bride, played guitar and sang for the father/daughter dance. Guests in attendance were from 17 states.
Emily and Dean both graduated from Roswell High School in 2003 and The University of Georgia in 2007. Dean earned a master's degree in accounting from the College of Charleston in 2008 and is employed by Carr, Riggs, & Ingram in Atlanta. Emily is a doctoral student in Physical Therapy at Armstrong Atlantic State University. The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica and will reside in the Atlanta area.
