Forsyth County - The Coal Mountain Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has been awarded a $3,000 grant from the Target Corporation.

The grant will provide additional funding for a school wide magic show and literacy promotion event that will be held in early 2010. The event will be held initially during the school day for the students with a follow up additional performance in the evening for the entire family.

The Coal Mountain PTO is trying to bring parents and students together to encourage creativity while reading. The PTO has selected a performer that they believe will inspire the children's love of reading by incorporating a magic show along with the story telling performance.

The Coal Mountain PTO is thrilled to have such a community focused retailer such as Target support their initiatives by providing funds for this exciting event.
