Celebrating 'Red Ribbon Week'
|
November 04, 2009 Wilson Creek Elementary students celebrated Red Ribbon Week from Oct. 19-23.
Red Ribbon Week is an annual event designed to promote drug awareness and encourage students to say no to drugs. Each day of Red Ribbon Week had a specific theme, ranging from "Turn your Back on Drugs" (wear clothing backward), to "I will 'knot' do Drugs!" (wear scarves, ties, or unusual shoelaces), and "Team Up Against Drugs" (wear a favorite sports team jersey).
Pictured are Wilson Creek Principal Jimmy Zoll, with students (L to R): Drew Hill, Turner Hill, and Austin French, dressed in Georgia Bulldogs jerseys for "Team Up Against Drugs" Day during Red Ribbon Week.
