Johns Creek residents featured in "Little Shop"
|
November 04, 2009 Several Johns Creek residents recently featured their talents in the North Springs Charter High School rendition of "Little Shop of Horrors," the tale of a man-eating flower from space and its caretaker Seymour Krelborn of Mushnik's Florist. Jenny Cadet, sophomore, Briana Ramsey-Tyler, sophomore, and Kelly Young, junior, all were active in the two week-production in October. Cadet participated in technical theater helping to design, build, and manage the stage settings and props.
Ramsey-Tyler, a theater magnet student, was cast in the ensemble as the "crazy pigeon lady" among other roles and served as the Doo-Wop Girl Ronette understudy. Young played the lead role of Ronnette, one of the musical trio of sassy Doo-Wop Girl narrators. The production was presented at the Georgia Theater Conference in Columbus Oct. 16. The North Springs Charter High School in Sandy Springs regularly produces award-winning shows that are almost entirely student-run.
