Army Pvt. Colin Banks has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. He is the son of Suzanne Banks Alpharetta. Banks is a 2008 graduate of Alpharetta High School.
Air Force Airman Ryan M. Buaman graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Judy and Jeff Bauman Buford. Bauman is a 2004 graduate of Brookwood High School in Snellville.
Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Bryan A. McFarland graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Robert P. and Becky McFarland of Cumming. McFarland is a 1995 graduate of South Forsyth High School, and earned a bachelor's degree in 2000 from the University of Georgia.
Jessica Whitney Cantrell awaits the return of her newlywed husband, Richard Kyle Lee, who is a 1st Lieutenant assigned to the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade currently deployed in Afghanistan. Cantrell and Lee married on Mar. 7. After a week-long honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple moved from Canton to Fayetteville, N.C. to accommodate Lee's Army training at Ft. Bragg. After his return in May 2010, the couple plans to move back to Georgia.
Navy Seaman Recruit Jacob A. Brown, son of Kimberly R. and Christopher S. Brown of Alpharetta, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Brown is a 2008 graduate of South Forsyth High School in Cumming.
Army Pvt. Eric T. Draper has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Tom Draper of Suwanee, and Lori Draper of Buford. Draper is a 2008 graduate of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee.
Navy Seaman Cody W. Cox, son of Karen L. Cox of Cumming and Ron J. Cox of Dawsonville, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Cox is a 2009 graduate of Dawson County High School.
