Lawyers tweak auditorium agreement
|
November 03, 2009 An intergovernmental agreement between Forsyth County and Lanier Tech over use of the auditorium the Technical College System is building on the Forsyth campus was tweaked by attorneys and brought back to the Forsyth Board of Commissioners for approval.
For its $1 million contribution, the county still gets exclusive use of the Lanier Technical College Economic Development Facility & Forsyth Civic Auditorium on a sliding scale for 25 years. During the first 15 years, Forsyth can use it for three days per month. For the next five years, it drops to two days per month and in the final five years of the agreement, the county gets rights to use the facility for 12 days per year, not limited to one day per month.
