Students from Crabapple Crossing Elementary school, from left, Megan Machan, Annie King and Matthew Cammack, get a closeup look at a HERO unit that visited their kindergarten classroom recently. Students gathered around the bright yellow truck and were told stories of highway heroics, emergency preparedness and saw the flashing lights and the special tools used in helping stranded motorists.
