|
October 26, 2009 Roswell – Caren Products made a $132,000 product donation to the American Red Cross.
The in-kind donation included items from the Roswell company's line of bath and body products, including 2,000 bottles of hand sanitizer, 1,700 containers of body wash, 3,700 foot treatments, 850 tubes of diaper rash cream, more than 5,000 sunscreen products and 1,600 lip balms. The items were distributed to recent flood victims in the Atlanta area as well as other needy families throughout Georgia.
"We are so grateful to Sherry Kelly and Caren Products for their generous donation. While our clients expect to receive donations of clean-up supplies like mops, bags and bleach, they were pleasantly surprised to receive such a treat from Caren products," said Sandy Zuiderhoek, In-Kind Donations Manager for the American Red Cross Relief Operation.
"We know there are so many who were left with nothing – not even their basic necessities," said Sherry Kelly, president of Caren Products and a Roswell resident. "We hope that our donation will help get these families one step closer to a feeling of normalcy and well-being in their lives."
Caren Products strives to be a community partner. In the past, they have made donations to North Fulton Charities. Five percent of all company profits are donated to Breast Cancer Research through their Caren Cares program.
Caren Products manufactures and distributes a line of skin care products. More information can be found at www.carenproducts.com.
