Alpha. candidates forum set Oct. 29

October 21, 2009 Alpharetta – The candidates for Alpharetta City Council will be asked to make themselves available Thursday, Oct. 29 for a candidate's forum at Alpharetta High School starting at 7 p.m.
The 90-minute question and answer period will concentrate on Post 2 where Mike Kennedy and Aubrey Osteen are vying for the seat vacated by incumbent Jim Paine, who must step down due to term limits.
In the only other contested race, that of Post 3, where incumbent John Monson chose not to run again, there are three candidates: John Keim, Tom Miller and Chris Owens.
Post 1 incumbent Doug DeRito and Municipal Court Judge Jim Matoney are running unopposed.
The meeting will be in the school's orchestra room near the auditorium.
