Three arrested in Roswell bar brawl

| | | Castillo-De La Cruz (click for larger version) | | June 22, 2009 Roswell police arrested three men June 14 allegedly involved in a bar brawl that included fighting with pool sticks, bar stools and beer bottles at the El Paisa on Ga. 9.
According to the two victims, neighbors from Roswell, they were playing pool when one went to the bathroom while the other walked outside to smoke a cigarette. One of the men left his baseball cap on the pool table to reserve it.
When they returned, 19-year-old Luis Pacheco-San Augustin was reportedly wearing the hat. The hat's owner began arguing with him about taking it, and that's when the brawl began.
The victims said Pacheco -San Augustin punched the hat's owner in the face, then held him while 34-year-old Marco A. Ruiz-Puga allegedly beat him in the face and head with a broken pool stick.

| | | Pacheco-San Augustin (click for larger version) | | When the man's friend tried to pull him out of the fight, 33-year-old Jose Castillo-De La Cruz allegedly picked up a bar stool and smashed it over his head. He then beat both men with the bar stool before discarding it in favor of a beer bottle.
When police arrived, all three suspects said they were picked on by both men. They also denied using any makeshift weapons and told investigators the fight happened in a different area of the restaurant.
Officers reported finding a bloody broken pool stick, bloody smashed glass and bloody bar stools in the area where the victims reported the fight to have occurred.
