December 19, 2012 ALPHARETTA, Ga. — A veteran Alpharetta police officer has left the department after allegations surfaced about him having an affair while on duty.
Lt. Dan Dreslinski was a veteran K-9 handler and was with the department for many years.
The complaint filed by Dreslinski's lover alleged they would meet while he was on duty. Media statements by the woman say she spoke out after learning he was married.
When the complaint came in, Dreslinski was placed on administrative leave for the investigation; however, even though the investigation is ongoing, he is no longer employed with the city.
"His employment with the city has been severed," confirmed Alpharetta Public Safety Spokesman George Gordon.
