FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider amending their Adult Entertainment Ordinance.
The section under amendment is the "Amusements and Entertainments" part of the code, further extending the definition of "adult entertainment establishment" to include commercial establishments selling or renting adult novelties or devices.
"Our adult entertainment ordinance clearly speaks and regulates adult dancing, adult live entertainment, adult books, magazines, videos," said County Attorney Ken Jarrard.
But in the area of adult novelties — such as adult toys — there's no language in the current law that captures that sort of thing.
Operations of adult entertainment businesses are restricted to county areas zoned commercial and industrial and are not allowed to serve alcohol.
The public hearing will be held in the Forsyth County Administration Building, 110 E. Main Street, Suite 220, in Cumming. The meeting takes place at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7.
