January 19, 2013 FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. --- A brother and sister were both injured Friday in a single-vehicle crash in North Forsyth County on Mount Tabor Road. They were taken to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell where they were listed in stable condition.
The driver, Edward Donald Anderson, 33, of Cumming will be charged with driving while his license was suspended, having no insurance, suspended registration, driving too fast for conditions and failure to maintain lane, according to Sgt. Chris Shelton of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Traffic Specialist Unit.
Anderson was traveling westbound on Mount Tabor Road near the intersection of Harris Drive about 12:20 p.m. when his 1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass left the roadway. Anderson tried to come back onto the roadway, however, he over corrected, causing it to slide over 310 feet across the westbound and eastbound lanes.
The car then struck a large pine tree, spun around and struck another cluster of trees before it came to rest on the shoulder of the road.
Anderson was ejected from the car. The passenger, his sister, Penny Susan Anderson, 29, was thrown into the rear seat of the vehicle. Neither person was wearing a seatbelt.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a contributing factor in the collision.
