October 10, 2012 ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Alpharetta will host a public information open house Oct. 17 concerning the sidewalk and intersection improvements at Ga. 9 and Vaughn Drive. The open house will be conducted between the hours of 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the engineering and public works building at 1790 Hembree Road, Alpharetta, Ga. There will be no formal presentation. The public is invited to attend anytime during these hours.
The current design will be available to view and comment on. These improvements will provide a left-turn lane for businesses near the intersection and at the Ga. 9 at Vaughn Drive intersection itself. The plan will also provide sidewalk connection from the Vaughn Drive intersection south to the existing sidewalk near the Canton Street Extension. Representatives from the city's engineering and public works department will be available to answer questions about the plan and receive comments or concerns.Editor, Milton Herald
