August 24, 2012 NORTH FULTON, Ga. - A Milton High School graduate was killed early Friday, Aug. 24, when her car ran head-on into another as she was traveling the wrong way on Ga. 400.
Carlyn Royball, 22, of Alpharetta, was driving about 3:30 a.m. northbound in the southbound Ga. 400 lanes. She ran into B 98.5 radio personality Kelly Stevens head-on shortly after he merged onto Ga. 400 at the Roberts Drive on-ramp in Sandy Springs.
The highway was nearly completely blocked due to the accident, however traffic was moving better as of the 6 a.m. rush hour.
Royball graduated Milton High School in 2008 and killed immediately in the crash, which caused Stevens' SUV to roll over several times. Stevens was taken to Grady Hospital and suffered several broken bones.
