After two weeks of upsets and exhilarating games…why should week three be any different? The Tennessee vs. Florida game certainly was the highlight, but it was great to see two fantastic overtime games in Michigan St./Notre Dame and Clemson/Miami. To answer a question in the vent of last week's paper, it appears that no, Notre Dame is not for real. There were, of course, some blow outs (USC, Virginia Tech, Texas), and it appears that we now have a well rounded top ten with the exclusion of the weak Big Ten minus Ohio State. FSU keeps on rolling (go Noles!), and Georgia Tech stumbles along. The Georgia Tech vs. Virginia Tech game will NOT be a game without Reggie Ball. Get well soon Reggie!
As far as the pick 'em results go, BSPieth continues to roll with a high score of 13 out of 17. The Rat Pack, Vols, Hans Appen, and The Big Murph continue to post high scores and share 1st place in the total points category. Our WIZ PIC of the week goes out to Black Sheep of the Family and The Big Murph for predicting Syracuse to beat the spread vs. Virginia.
