Appen Newspapers College Football Vent : Week Two

September 15, 2005
All the hype over the Ohio State/Texas game was certainly for real. AJ Hawk is officially a beast. Vince Young still a heisman candidate? I certainly think so.

Georgia/South Carolina game was quite a game to see. At least Spurrier didn't cry.

Three teams in the AP top ten poll lost in week two (Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa). Two more should have lost (Georgia and LSU). Can we get a legit top ten please?

Anyone see Marcus Vick, younger brother of Atlanta Falcons star Mike, have a breakout game, throwing for three touchdowns in a 45-0 spanking of Duke? It must be in the blood.

LSU pulled off a 35-31 win, scoring 28 points in the fourth quarter. It gave people in Louisiana something to cheer about, though next week they would like it if they wouldn't wait 'till the fourth quarter to kick it into gear.

Is Notre Dame for real?

FSU scored 49 points in the second half vs. The Citadel. They scored 10 in the whole game vs. Miami. How about a little consistency down there?

Appen Newspapers Pick 'Em Results: Week Two

The Vols and The Rat Pack take the group points lead, each taking 13 of 17 possible points.

11 out of 24 picked South Carolina to beat the 18 point spread.

WIZ PIC: Bspieth was one of the only one to pick UNC to beat the spread vs. Georgia Tech.
