ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Mill Springs Academy students, staff and their families collected and donated 15,127 pounds – more than 7 tons – of food for the annual canned food drive benefiting the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB). According to the ACFB, the food Mill Springs Academy collected will provide for 12,605 meals. There is a little bit of friendly competition among the schools that spurs on the food drive. Communication Arts School was the clear winner between the five schools on campus, having gathered more than 6,000 cans on their own. But the entire Mill Springs community is proud to be able to support the Atlanta Community Food Bank in this way.
"This is proof that small schools can do big things," said Headmaster Robert Moore.
