ALPHARETTA, Ga. Nov. 13 was Early Signing Day for high school athletes across the country. At Rivers Academy in Alpharetta, parents, students and teachers gathered to celebrate as nine student-athletes signed their national letters of intent to various schools for their sports. Rivers has been referred to as "the little school that could" because of its high percentage of elite college acceptances. In addition to these featured students, the entire senior class will be honored throughout the commitment season as they make their college decisions.

The seniors who signed are, back row from left, Allison Miller (tennis) University of Notre Dame, Alexa Boggio (equestrian) Southern Methodist University, Lindsey Hodge (tennis) Rice University, Brittany Nuttall (tennis) Presbyterian College, Hannah Stanford (tennis) University of North Georgia and Hannah King (tennis) University of Georgia. In front, from left, are Spencer Papciak (golf) Davidson College, Trey Yates (tennis) University of Kentucky and Michael Kay (tennis) Georgia Tech.
