JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — Girl Scouting has been an inspiration to five Johns Creek girls in Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Troop 03055.

In their Girl Scouts Junior year of 2012-13, Vani Arora, Shinjini Das, Cherie Sang, Taylor Skalet and Amy Zhuang decided to take a step forward to earn the Bronze Award, the highest award a Girl Scouts Junior can earn.

"The goal of [our] Take Action Project was to help the animals in the Humane Society of Forsyth County," said Troop Leader Lin Zheng. "The girls made more than 25 fleece blankets for the animals, baked dog cookies and volunteered to help raise money for the animals."
