JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – John Stastny, a student at Johns Creek High School, will participate in the 2013 U.S. Naval Academy Summer Seminar program.
The U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) invites a select group of about 2,550 young men and women from around the nation and abroad to attend the Naval Academy Summer Seminar program every summer. Summer Seminar is a fast-paced leadership experience for rising seniors in high school.
The program is designed to educate, motivate and prepare selected students who are considering applying for admission to USNA.
Summer Seminar teaches prospective applicants about life at the Naval Academy, where academics, athletics and professional training are key elements in developing the nation's leaders.
Each student will attend a six-day session and experience a glimpse of USNA life. They will also participate in daily physical training involving group runs and conditioning exercises.
They will experience firsthand what the Naval Academy has to offer through its exceptional academic, athletic, extracurricular activities and leadership training programs.
