MILTON, Ga. – For the second year in a row, Milton High School posted Fulton's highest graduation rate, handing out diplomas to more than 96 percent of students who started out as freshmen four years ago.
Milton's graduation rate in 2012 was 96.4 percent – down slightly from its 2011 rate of 96.5, but still good enough to place it second in the state among larger high schools. Only Lambert High in Forsyth County, with a graduation rate of 97.5 percent, beat Milton's graduation rate for schools with enrollment over 500 high school students.
Following closely behind Milton as top schools in Fulton for graduates were Northview (96 percent) and Johns Creek (95 percent).
The majority of traditional high schools in North Fulton had 2012 graduation rates well above the state average of 70 percent, including Roswell High School which increased its graduation rate by nearly 13 percent from 2011.
