JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – The Chattahoochee High School debate team captured the state championship debating title March 9 under the direction of coach Garrett Abelkop.
This marked an incredible eighth time the Cougars have nailed down the state debate title.
The CHS debate team was crowned 2013 state debate champions by the Georgia Forensic Coaches Association.
Senior debaters Viveth Karthikeyan and Andrew Lockwood won the state championship, defeating Pace Academy in the final round to finish the tournament with an undefeated record.
