FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — North Forsyth High School's (NFHS) Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter sent 16 competitors to Atlanta for the state competition.
These 16 members competed in 17 different categories ranging from client services to business law.
Eight members placed in the top 10 of their event.
Of the eight finalists, Ashton Seibel, Andrew Hiltbrand and Amy Mahler advanced to the FBLA national competition, which will be held in Anaheim, Calif. in late June.
Mahler and Hiltbrand received first place for their presentation of their American enterprise project, which focused on a fashion show that was held at NFHS earlier in the year. Seibel received first place individually for management decision making as well as receiving second place for hospitality management.
In addition to these awards, the chapter was awarded the seventh best chapter in the state.
While at the two-day conference, members participated in and led numerous workshops aimed to educate the future leaders of America. These workshops taught business skills, interpersonal skills and overall life skills to create a well-rounded organization of students.
