West Forsyth HS student Elijah Howard wins communication contest

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — On March 5, the Sawnee-Cumming Optimist Club presented a $500 check to Elijah Howard, a 10th-grade student at West Forsyth High School, for winning the countywide Communication Contest for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing held at the Forsyth County Board of Education recently.

Howard won for the non-signing group. He will proceed to the district competition to compete for a $2,500 college scholarship, which will be held in Warner Robins on Saturday, April 20.
