January 22, 2013 ALPHARETTA, Ga. – The Concord Fire North White U9 girls' soccer team took first place in the UFA Fall Classic tournament held Nov. 17 and 18. After a hard-fought overtime win in the semifinal, the girls won the final game by a score of 3-1.
In the GSA Adidas Cup tournament held Dec. 1 and 2, the team went into overtime in the final game. The score was still tied at 1-1 after the overtime, and the game went to penalty kick status. After several shots into the goal by team members and a super effort on the part of the Concord Fire team goalie, the girls lost in the very end by one goal shot. View images.
