January 16, 2013 JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Chattahoochee High School soccer will sponsor a 5K race and 1- mile fun run/walk March 23 on the CHS track and cross-country trail. The 5K race will start at 9:30 a.m. and the fun run/walk will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Entry fees range from $10-$20 and include a T-shirt option. In addition to benefiting 'Hooch soccer, a percentage of early registration net proceeds will be donated to STAR House in Roswell, which supports at-risk children in North Fulton by providing after-school tutoring, school supplies, leadership activities and recreational programs.
Ribbons will be given in the fun run/walk, and awards will be presented in the 5K race for first-, second- and third-place finishers, male and female, in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50 and up.
Each participant will receive a race bib, goodie bag, the chance to win a prize and a T-shirt (guaranteed only to those registered by March 9 and with a paid T-shirt option).
