January 02, 2013 ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Girls can dust off their cleats, bring their friends and join the fun of playing recreational softball at North Park. Alpharetta Youth Softball Association is now taking online registration for the spring 2013 season.
To register, visit the AYSA website at www.alpharettasoftball.com. Player evaluations will be Jan. 26 with practices beginning Feb. 2.
AYSA's recreational program offers opportunities for beginner to experienced players age 6 and under to age 13 and up. AYSA will host a free Winter Warm-Up on Saturday, Jan. 12 at North Park. This event will include skills, drills, home run derby, free T-shirt for participants and more. Details are available on the website.
New for 2013: Through a partnership agreement between the cities of Alpharetta and Milton, residents of both cities pay the same registration fee to participate in this program. Residents of other cities/counties must pay a non-resident fee.
Residents can sign up their daughters today and give them the opportunity to meet new friends, learn or improve skills and have a whole lot of fun. More info can be found at www.alpharettasoftball.com.
