December 26, 2012 CUMMING, Ga. —Thirty-one members of the South Forsyth High School band were selected for District Honor Band.
The District 9 Band auditions were held Dec. 8 at White County High School in Cleveland, Ga.
The 16 juniors and seniors selected for the band are: Julia Moldenhawer, Chae Yoomin, Alexis Brazier, Sophia Lee, Grant Utter, Caitlin McCullough, Luis Riviera, Kelsey Morton, Owen Moss, Sunny Kim, Ryan McWilliams, Jongseong Lee, Brian Mobley, Stephen Pawlik, Josh Thompson and Alex Nguyen.
Students selected for the freshman and sophomore band are: Sean Chua, Sarah Deal, Cassie Bright, Katie Renaslacis, Shivani Rangaswamy, Ian Horrocks, Nikki Northover, Karen Sun, Alyssa Ruburiano, Austin Cat, Jenny Choi, Max Grand, Thomas Walker, Austin Kim and Katie Boss.
Students selected for the District Honor Band will go to Blue Ridge, Ga. on Feb. 9 and participate in workshops, rehearsals and a concert.
