ALPHARETTA, Ga. — The North Fulton Forsyth Touchdown Club honored eight local high school football players in its final Player of the Week Dinner held Monday, Nov. 19.

Held at the Metropolitan Club, 5895 Windward Parkway, coaches, athletes and families celebrated the end of a successful football season for area schools.

Buck Lanford emceed the event where players were recognized for their outstanding performance on the field.

Guest speaker retired Col. Michael Steele, a former University of Georgia Bulldog, spoke to the attendees.

Steele was the company commander in the 3rd Battalion of the 75th Ranger Regiment during the mission Operation Gothic Serpent in Somalia.
