November 12, 2012ANNAPOLIS, Md. — A tight women's lacrosse match pitted two Forsyth County high school alums against each other on the field.
South Forsyth High graduate Brijet Mall, a senior defender for the United States Naval Academy Midshipmen, and Lambert High grad Jenna Kasmarik, a sophomore attacker for the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays, met in a tight competition Saturday, Oct. 6 on the USNA grounds in Annapolis, Md.
Mall and Kasmarik said they enjoyed playing against each other in a friendly match that ended with the Midshipmen narrowly defeating the Blue Jays 8-7.
This is the first time since they were in high school that the former teammates have been reunited.
While their teams are in different conferences and don't compete in the regular season, both women are looking forward to a potential rematch in the NCAA Division I championships next spring.
