Teacher speaks on 'Dream Classroom'

November 07, 2012
ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Fulton County Supporters of the Gifted will host Susan Fisher, lead technology teacher at Ridgeview Charter School, 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Milton Center, 86 School Drive in Alpharetta, and again Thursday, Nov. 15 at Westlake High School, 2400 Union Road SW in Atlanta,

Fisher will speak on her creation of a flipped, inspired, gamified, differentiated and project-based classroom, which she calls "The Dream Classroom." This innovation has allowed her to move away from the traditional linear, sequential and lecture-based teacher model, with an emphasis on use of the internet as a source of information and resources.

All are welcome, and admission is free to members of FCSG. A small donation will be asked of non-members who will have an opportunity to join.
