JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Quarterback Aaron Winchester passed for one touchdown and ran for two to lead Mount Pisgah to a 42-28 victory at home Friday night over Mount Paran.
Winchester, who passed for 145 yards, hit Tommy Pease for 11 yards and a score in the opening period, and ran 10 yards for a TD in the second quarter. He also scored on a 29-yard run in the third period.
The Patriots trailed 14-13 at the half, but took a 28-21 lead early in the fourth quarter on Austin Harper's 3-yard run. A fumble recovery and return by Foster Gailey and a 39-yard run by Ryan Felice provided insurance touchdowns for Mount Pisgah.
Mount Pisgah (2-2 in Region 6-A East, 5-3 overall), plays Friday at Fellowship Christian (0-4, 1-7), and will play a region playoff game the following week against a team from the West sub-region.
