JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – The Johns Creek Gladiators scored their second shutout of the season, blanking South Forsyth 26-0 last Friday night.

The win lifts the Gladiators into a three-way tie for first in Region 6-AAAAAA at 4-1 with Alpharetta and West Forsyth. The Gladiators (7-1 overall) host Alpharetta next week after playing this Friday at North Forsyth (0-5, 3-5).

The Gladiators drove 68 yards on their first series, with Skye Overton scoring on a 3-yard run. Overton, who passed for 139 yards, had completions of 18 yards to Ben Deck and 14 yards to Austin Pack on the drive.

Field goals of 25 and 45 yards by Kyle Fowler made it 13-0 at the half.

A 28-yard pass from Overton to Braden Fortin keyed a touchdown drive capped by Chase Solomon's 8-yard run early in the fourth period. Solomon carried 13 times for 98 yards, including a 32-yarder to set up the Gladiators' second field goal. A 3-yard run by Pack concluded the Johns Creek scoring.

The Gladiators' defense, led by Turner Fortin and Zac Disher, allowed just 200 yards.
