JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Lake Windward Elementary opened its doors Oct. 2 to students and their families to enjoy a fall festival-themed Family Fun Night.
This event, which was sponsored by the LWE PTA, was the first school-wide 2012-2013 event to welcome kids back to school and celebrate the beginning of the fall season.
Students were encouraged to come in fun costumes and enjoy fall activities such as pumpkin painting, a petting zoo and bouncy houses.
PTA business partner Chick-fil-A provided dinner items, and the fifth-grade class held their annual bake sale. This event was held in conjunction with Family Shopping Night at the school's Fall Book Fair and was a way for families to get together to welcome in the fall season.
