NORTH FULTON, Ga. – Phoenix Rugby Club L.L.C. is open for registration for the 2012-2103 season.
A nationally renowned high school club in existence for eight years, Phoenix expanded last year to include middle school students.
A full program is offered for sixth- through 12th-graders with experienced volunteer coaches to teach the sport. Players are drawn from schools in the northern Atlanta area. Practices are held in Alpharetta's North Park twice a week. All players are welcome, and no prior experience is required.
Rugby is one of the fastest growing sports and will be featured in the next Olympics with the USA as defending champions. Players from Phoenix Club have represented the USA at the youth level in international matches.
