August 13, 2012 JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — The Johns Creek High School PTSA was presented the first place “Outstanding Local Unit” award for the second year in a row by the Georgia PTA at its annual Convention and Leadership Training event in Athens, Ga.
Local PTSAs from all over Georgia submit reports detailing the programs provided for their students, and the JCHS PTSA was awarded first place based on this information. JCHS PTSA programs include lunch and learn, March Madness college week, drug and alcohol awareness speakers and red ribbon week.
Additionally, PTSA funds a college scholarship and provides volunteers throughout the school.
