$2K in damages to Forsyth County golf green

August 05, 2014
CUMMING, Ga. — Someone trespassed onto a golf course, damaged the property and spray painted the green, according to a Forsyth County Sherriff's incident report.

On July 23, the superintendent of the Windermere Golf Club, 5000 Davis Love Drive, told deputies most of the damage was on the 17th hole.

When deputies arrived, they saw where the vandals spray painted obscene remarks and images.

The suspects also dug around the hole and damaged the putting green.

The flag and signs were painted and thrown around.

Deputies saw footprints in the sand bunkers that looked to be from a juvenile.

The superintendent said it would cost about $2,000 to replace and repair the green.
