Thief returns stolen parts to home in Cumming

June 11, 2014
CUMMING, Ga. — Someone went into a man's house and stole $74 in auto parts, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.

A man in the 2000 block of Roper Road told deputies the thief entered his unlocked home on May 23 and took the parts he bought earlier that month.

The man said he went back to Auto Zone where he bought the parts, 2375 Canton Highway, and asked personnel if the parts had been returned.

The parts manager said a young man came in on May 23 and returned the items the victim bought.

The parts manager said he remembered the suspect. The suspect said his mother bought him the parts, but they were not needed.

During the transaction, the parts manager said the suspect seemed "shady."
