$2K in copper stolen from homes in Cumming

April 19, 2014
CUMMING, Ga. — Someone trespassed into homes under construction and stole $2,000 in copper, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.

The superintendent of JEH Homes told deputies two homes under construction had 50 feet of copper stolen from them during the night of March 20.

The homes off the 4000 block of Nobel Pass were entered sometime after 3 p.m. the day before and removed the copper from the air conditioners up to the attic.

At the time of the thefts, the superintendent said the drywall and the garage door had not been installed.
