Pricy handbag, wallet missing from park in Johns Creek

April 19, 2014
JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – A local woman is without an expensive handbag and wallet April 8 after they were stolen from her car at Newtown Park.

The victim told police she parked her car at the park about 7:20 p.m. and returned 40 minutes later to find the rear passenger window smashed.

Missing were a brown Louis Vuitton purse, valued at $2,000, a red Louis Vuitton wallet, valued at $1,200, as well as $300 cash and several credit cards. The purse was left in plain view on the car floor.

Another purse and a wallet also left in the car were not taken.

While nobody should be subject to having their personal valuables stolen, let's remove the opportunity for crime by not leaving a purse in plain sight and see what happens. Amazing. Can we really continue to call these housewives victims? Bring your purse along or don't bring one at all. Simple.

If this story is true, then the woman has absolutely no common sense.
Who in their right mind would leave a purse, wallet, and cash in a car at a park?

We keep hearing these same stories again and again. It is embarrassing that some people still do this.

    Unbelievable if it's true
