Firearms, computers stolen in burglary in Cumming

February 22, 2014
CUMMING, Ga. — A man came home to find his house trashed and about $10,600 in valuables missing, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.

A man in the 7000 block of Silversmith Drive told deputies he came home at about 6 p.m. Jan. 26, and saw his front door and back door open.

He said his new truck has been entered and about $7,500 in lawn equipment and miscellaneous tools were stolen.

The man looked through his ransacked home and said a $705 firearm, a $300 "revolver" and another $300 firearm were missing from under mattresses.

Deputies said the burglars overlooked TVs, cash and credit cards, but took three computers, two stereos and a tablet computer.
