ALPHARETTA, Ga. – A man was arrested Oct. 12 for allegedly driving while intoxicated with a child in the car.

Police said Thomas Gary Amerson Jr., 33, of Keith Bridge Road, Cumming, was driving on Westside Parkway about 9:41 p.m. The officer reports seeing Amerson drive onto the shoulder twice, so he was pulled over.

With Amerson was the owner of the car as well as her 6-year-old daughter in the back seat.

Amerson allegedly failed the sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI, endangering a child and failure to maintain lane.
